-Mt. Moon-

"Squirtle, watch out for the Zubat!" Ash yelled as a swarm of Zubats came out from a cave. The Zubats used their Supersonic attack to confuse our heroes as they were headed towards a cave opening. Squirtle became confused and stood still while being attacked by the Zubats. "Squirtle!!! Use your Water Gun!" But he was too confused as the Zubats used Supersonic on Squirtle. Ash took out his Pokeball to call back Squirtle, but too many Zubats were surrounding him. Out of nowhere, Mew jumped through the bushes to save Squirtle. As the Zubats spotted Mew, they used Supersonic to confuse Mew, leaving Squirtle behind for Ash to call him back into the Pokeball. But the Supersonic had no effect on Mew. Mew and the swarm of Zubats dissapeared into the woods. As Ash was trying to chase Mew and the Zubats, he saw something coming right at him at a high speed.

"Whoa!" Ash screamed as he was jumping aside from it. When Ash looked back at objects that flew right pass him, he noticed that it was the swarm of Zubats that attacked them. Ash finally found Mew, using its Disable attack to disable a Zubat's movements. "Alright, okay Mew, hold the Zubat still so I can catch it!" Ash said as he took out his Pokeball. "Pokeball, GOOO!!!" Just as Ash's Pokeball hit Zubat to capture it, the Zubat escaped and flew through the woods. "Ah man! I lost it....... Mew where are you going!?!?!?!" Ash shouted as he was seeing Mew jump from tree to tree chasing after the Zubat. 5 minutes passed when Mew came back holding the Pokeball that Ash used to capture the Zubat. "Myuu, Mew!" Mew said as he handed Ash the Pokeball. "Thanks, Mew, what's inside?" Ash said as he opened the Pokeball containing the Zubat.

"Wow! Thanks again." As Ash pulled back his Zubat, he left to see a sign that said, "Mt. Moon-To Cerulean City" Ash looked onto his map which pointed put that Cerulean City was his next stop. Just then he spotted a Jigglypuff. Ash knew that the Jigglypuff was among one of the rarest Pokemon in the world. As sent out his Butterfree to use Sleeping Powder on Jigglypuff which made it fall asleep. Ash used his Pokeball to capture the very weakened Jigglypuff. As Ash put away his Jigglypuff he spotted the route leading to a cave. Ash approached the cave opening leading to Mt. Moon entrance. Ash was amazed by the abundance of Pokemon in this single area. Ash found that there was a Paras, Geodude, Zubats, and very few Clefairies. He has not seen a Clefairy yet.

As he was walking through the cave, he spotted a Sandshrew that just dug right into the cave's floor. "Squirtle, go!" As Squirtle came out, he used his Bubble attack under Ash's command. The Sandshrew had been hit, while he tried to find his Pokeball. The Sandshrew started to run away right when Ash found his Pokeball. "No.....Squirtle, don't let him get away!" Ash yelled. Squirtle used his Tackle attack to knock it down. "Now, Pokeball Goooo!" Ash yelled as he threw the Pokeball at Sandshrew. The Pokeball flickered for a while, but soon it stopped resisting and was caught. "Yesss! We got Sandshrew!" Ash said as he was jumping for joy. At the exit of Mt. Moon, he heard two different sounds from 2 Pokemon. The first revealed itself to be Geodude as the other is Clefairy. "Wow, a Clefairy and Geodude. Mew and Squirtle go get them!"

Squirtle used its Water Gun to weaken the Geodude while Ash threw his Pokeball and captured it. Ash then turned around to see the Clefairy. Clefairy used its Metronome attack on Mew which made him unmovable. "Mew, hold on!" Ash said as he took out a TM. This TM contained Teleport. He threw it to Mew. Mew was covered in a flashing light after touching the TM. He had gotten the TM from trading his Baseball cards for a few TMs from his friends. Mew then used his new technique, Teleport, to escape the Clefairy's attack. Mew then used his Confusion attack to bring down Clefairy's alert as Ash threw his Pokeball at it. Yes it was captured. Ash and his Pokemon made it out of Mt. Moon in the evening coming to Cerulean City.

He saw the Gym in the center of the city. Ash decided that it was wiser if he made his Pokemon rest for a while before another battle. Ash rented a room in the city to spend the night with his Pokemon. As the sun rose, he left to battle his second Gym to get his second badge. Ash opened the doors to the Gym. By the looks of the gym, Ash knew that it would be a water type battle. Ash decided that it was time for his Pikachu to test out his potentials in Pokemon battles. Just as he came to the built in Mini- PokeCenter, the doors to the arenas opened revealing the trainer to be Gary. "Ash, good luck on this battle, because I lost to Misty! How embarressing!" Gary resigned onto the list to battle the gym leader again. It was his turn for battle now. Ash opened the gym doors.
